Web Accessibility Notice

Midwestern State University (MSU) is working to ensure that members of our community with disabilities, and members of the public with disabilities seeking information or services from us, have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to the access and use by community members, or members of the public who are not individuals with disabilities.  To meet this commitment, we are in the process of re-designing our web pages to meet the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C's), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, and the Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications Suite (WAI-ARIA) 1.0 for web content.

If you have a disability and any material on our web pages interferes with your ability to access the information, please contact MSU’s Disability Support Services office (DSS) at disabilityservices@mwsu.edu and indicate:

  • The nature of your accessibility or alternative format needs
  • The URL (web address) of the material you would like to access
  • Your contact information

The DSS will contact you to attempt to provide the information you are seeking and will seek to resolve any issues regarding inaccessibility of the information on official MSU websites.  To enable us to respond in a manner most helpful to you, please indicate the nature of the accessibility problem, the web address of the requested material, your preferred format in which you want to receive the material (electronic format (ASCII, etc.), standard print, large print, etc.) and your contact information.

MSU has adopted internal disability grievance procedures providing for prompt and equitable resolution of grievances alleging any action prohibited by Section 504 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 or the federal regulations implementing these laws.  Filing a grievance with MSU does not prevent the person from filing a complaint with the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The DSS will make appropriate arrangements to ensure that people with disabilities are provided reasonable modifications and appropriate auxiliary aids and services where necessary to participate in the grievance process.  Such arrangements may include making the grievance procedure available in alternate formats such as Braile, large print, audiotape, providing interpreters for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, or have limited English proficiency assuring a barrier-free location for proceedings.  If you would like to share your concerns or file a complaint, please contact:
