The mission of the Office of Equity, Inclusion and Multicultural Affairs is to reduce student success gaps, increase awareness and engagement on critical social issues, and serve as a support and advocacy center for historically marginalized student populations at MSU.

ENGAGE | EDUCATE | EMPOWER

EIMA works collaboratively to identify and reduce gaps in retention, performance and graduation with a host of campus partners. We aim to offer students, faculty, and staff the skills, training, and space for dialogue to serve as allies for one another on the path to create a more inclusive campus environment. Our programming model includes speakers, educational series, events, and trainings. Ultimately, EIMA strives to empower the campus community to create an environment where all students feel included, are affirmed, and are successful.

EIMA operates the Center for Multicultural Affairs & Community, or CMAC, a communal space for students to connect and engage with each other, while also participating in a variety of programs geared to support and empower students of color. Students are welcome to the office located in

Bea Wood Hall room 131, Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm.
