The Counseling Center offers immediate assistance to students in crisis.
Walk-in Crisis Coverage
During normal business hours, therapists are available to assist students in immediate crisis.
On-call services are provided after business hours and on weekends by therapists from the Counseling Center. Resident Hall Directors, Administrators, and Campus Police are able to contact the on-call therapist in an emergency situation.
If you are a student in immediate crisis and one of the following applies to you:
-You feel you are in immediate danger of harming or killing yourself.
-You feel you are in immediate danger of harming or killing someone else.
-You have recently been assaulted or had a traumatic experience.
Please do one of the following:
-Call 911 and you will be connected with the police who can help you get emergency services.
-Call MSU Police 940-397-4239.
-Call Helen Farabee Center 940-621-8504.
-During normal business hours (M-F 8:00-5:00), Counseling Center Personnel are available to talk with you immediately if you are in crisis. Call 940-397-4618 or stop by the Counseling Center on the corner of Hampstead and Louis J. Rodriguez Drive.
