Assistant to Vice President, Student Affairs and Enrollment Management for Operations
Description:
Responsible for professional and administrative work in the management of the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management that involves planning, budget analysis, assessment, organizing, and performing a variety of complex technical and administrative duties. Develops administrative analyses and summary reports for review. Works under the general supervision of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management with latitude for initiative and independent judgment
Examples:
Provides administrative support to the Vice President and Associate Vice President. Manages fiscal aspects of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management to include analyzing and assisting with budgeting for the division. Assists with data analysis and strategic assessments. Handles both routine and confidential correspondence. Maintains files and restricted information. Initiates correspondence and prepares first draft reports on administrative matters. Responsible for making independent decisions with full accountability. Maintains Student Handbook and webpage for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Performs specialized tasks requiring a high level of skill in typing, computer operations, preparing reports, and special studies. Supervises student assistants. Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Condition:
Experience:
Minimum five years' experience with demonstrated success directly related to upper level office administration and supervision. Extensive experience in general office practices and procedures, including some administrative and personnel supervision. Business accounting and office management preferred. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge:
Should be proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and database computer programs. Excellent working knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation. Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, and equipment. Knowledge of accounting practices. Ability to work independently on difficult or complex assignments and to interpret pertinent policies and procedures clearly and accurately.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Courses in accounting preferred.
