Title:
Coordinator, Continuing Education
Description:
Responsible for coordinating teachers, students and classrooms for continuing education courses that are considered non-credit. Reports to the Director of the Center for Continuing, Professional, and Distance Education.
Examples:
Supervises and directs the operations of the Continuing Education office including student assistants. Those operations include scheduling, problem solving, developing community relationships, organizing conferences, billing, assistance with the budget, and hiring Instructors to teach the Continuing Education courses. Maintains all inventories; orders supplies; distributes mail; monitors budgets and produces monthly and annual reports.

Experience:
Experience in office operations or related administrative or managerial experience, to include budgeting, personnel management, and office equipment such as computers, copier, fax etc.
Knowledge:
Must be knowledgeable in the use of computers and commonly used office software programs, such as World, Excel and Outlook, for both word processing and data base management purposes. Should also be skillful in learning software which is currently used for the monitoring of CE classes.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
Additional Requirements:
The ability to manage people and resources, teach, direct, guide and evaluate; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage a variety of tasks in a busy office atmosphere. Must have the ability to work well with college students, faculty, staff, and the public. Should be able to work occasional nights and weekends. Willing to work with various groups and functions in the community. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *This position is designated as security sensitive and requires a criminal background check.
