Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach a range of advertising and public relations courses and may be assigned to teach other courses in the major as needed. The successful candidate will also serve as an academic adviser; lead students to participate in extracurricular activities such as AAF and PRSSA; maintain a record of scholarly activities commensurate with rank; actively recruit; engage in departmental, university and community service; develop relationships with area professionals; be a positive representative of the department both on and off campus; and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A master's degree in mass communication or a related field, and relevant professional experience with public relations or advertising, is required for the rank of instructor on non-tenure track. A doctorate or terminal degree in mass communication or a related field is required for the rank of assistant professor on tenure track. In all cases, teaching experience is a plus.
