Who is eligible to apply for an LLP?

Any student is eligible to apply for an LLP based on the parameters outlined for each program.

Please note that the PLUGGED-IN (pre-nursing) LLP requires a short, two question application.

Do LLP residents pay more than non-LLP residents?

LLP Residents pay the same amount as other students assigned to the same hall and room type. Currently, LLPs are housed in the new residence hall and McCullough-Trigg.

How does selection work?

The PLUGGED-IN (pre-nursing) has a competitive application process. Applications are reviewed by faculty and staff in each respective program.

Students who wish to live in the Business Community must enroll in a Foundations of Business (BUAD 1033) section for the fall semester. Please mention your interest in this during your advising period.

The Department of Residence Life will be provided a list of accepted honors students by the Redwine Honors Program. Students indicating the desire to live in the honors community will then be placed in this community.

Students meeting criteria for all other LLPs may participate on a first come, first served basis. Students are encouraged to apply via the housing agreement early to ensure a space!

How do I apply for an LLP?

Applying for a Living-Learning Program is easy! Follow these simple steps:

  1. Submit a Fall/Spring housing agreement as soon as possible. New students will need to pay a $100 room deposit. For priority consideration for all LLPs, complete this step prior to May 15th.
  2. If applying for the PLUGGED-IN (pre-nursing) LLP, complete the short, two question application available here.
  3. If applying for all other LLPs, note your interest in a particular community on your housing agreement.

What if I complete my housing agreement after May 15th but am interested in the nursing LLP?

Complete the application as noted above. If spaces remain after consideration is given to all applicants who have applied prior to May 15th, we will review those submitted after May 15th.

Can I pick my roommate?

You may request a specific roommate, provided s/he has also been accepted into the same living-learning program.
