Class Of 1967 Scholarship

The “Class of” scholarship started in 2004 with the Class of 1954. It was originally called “Reunion Giving” and was intended as a way to give in honor of the 50th Reunion’s class year.

With the Class of 1960 it became a late summer solicitation letter listing homecoming activities for the 50th year reunion for the first time and started the tradition of raising the dollar amount for the year they graduated.

In 2010 the request for gifts became a request to fund an actual scholarship, awarding it to a graduating senior. The giving chair of the class presents a check to Mr. Vidmar as their class gift during homecoming week. (At Golden Grad’s Brunch)

This year, the goal for the Class of 1967 is $1,967 to be given to a senior who is graduating in December 2013. This is a “Getting Started” scholarship that helps the student to get a fresh start after completing their education.

The application for this Scholarship will be accepted until November 1, 2017.
