Getting to know your Admissions Counselor

Q: What is your favorite thing(s) about MSU?

A: My favorite thing about MSU is its friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Whether you’re a student, part of the staff or only visiting, everyone at MSU will make you feel ‘at home’ and part of their family.

Q: Favorite place to hang out in Wichita Falls?

A: My favorite place(s) to hang out in Wichita Falls is at locally owned restaurants and businesses. I am a huge supporter in shopping locally and I encourage other people to do the same when possible!

Q: What was the greatest lesson that you learned in college?

A: Self-Confidence. In college, you are solely responsible for yourself and sometimes that is a hard lesson to learn, especially if the college you’re attending is in a city that may not be your hometown.

Q: What was your favorite class in college? Why?

A: My favorite class had to be my study abroad course in London, England. We learned an abundance of British history, visited numerous historical markers throughout England and absorbed everything having to do with their culture.

Q: What are you passionate about?

A: I have a very long list of things that I am passionate about, but a shortened list would include traveling, orchestral music, education, my family and the Green Bay Packers.

Q: Who has had the greatest influence on your life?

A: My grandmothers were my greatest influences in my life. Each one went through a lot of hardship and heartache, but in the end, they were the strongest, most hardworking and loving women in my life. I can only strive to be half of the woman that they were.
