Pre Physical Therapy

Pre-Physical Therapy at Midwestern

At Midwestern students can fulfill the prerequisites for application to Physical Therapy schools through the Department of Biology or the Department of Exercise Physiology.  (In fact, a student can major in whatever subject they want to as long as they take all of the prerequisite courses for application to the PT school of their choice.  Either Biology or Exercise Physiology make sense because those programs guide the student through the required courses.

The Biology curriculum is somewhat more rigorous with more science courses.  The Exercise Physiology curriculum includes more applied training.

Neither of the programs have entrance requirements.  Enrollment in the university is all that is required.  Once enrolled at Midwestern, the student needs to get in touch with the PT advisor from the department they choose (I would recommend talking to someone from each department before making a final decision.)
