Texas Physics Consortium

MSU is a member institution of the Texas Physics Consortium, which offers a joint degree in physics. Students take all of their core and lower division physics courses at MSU from MSU faculty. The upper level physics courses are offered through the consortium on the MSU campus. Most of the upper level courses will be taken remotely, via video conference. This offers our majors a unique experience.

You will receive the benefits of a smaller program and the MSU physics faculty are always available for help with the courses taken remotely. Our participation in the consortium allows our students to take courses that could normally only be offered by a larger program. The upper level physics electives offered vary by semester, depending on which campus is offering the course.
