Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

To provide a thorough and collaborative review of yearly assessment reporting at MSU, UAC members, as well as faculty volunteers, conduct a yearly peer review of all assessment plans. There are two primary goals for the review process: (1) to promote a culture where experienced peers assist their colleagues' efforts to strengthen student learning outcome/functional objective statements, conduct appropriate assessments, and make programmatic improvements; and (2) to foster collaboration among faculty/staff across disciplines to improve reporting procedures. The peer review process has proven to be a catalyst for campus accountability and collaboration for assessment at MSU.
