Title: Medical Office Manager
Description: Provides administrative support and oversight of the operations of the Vinson Health Center, including budget management, managing Vinson Health Center programs, scheduling, record management, quality control, assessment, and direction of non-medical staff. Reports to the Medical Director.
Examples: Direct and supervise clinic logistics and non-medical personnel. Develop and administer department budget; assist in formulation, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs enhancing the health, safety and welfare of students and employees; provide general oversight of facility operations, renovations and capital planning. Responsible for recordkeeping and reporting requirements for medical office. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Physical Condition:
Experience: Medical office or similar medical administrative experience required. Should have some previous budgeting, administrative, and supervisory experience.
Knowledge: Must have knowledge of HIPPA, CLIA, and other state and federal regulations impacting college health centers. Must be knowledgeable of best practices regarding medical office operations and management. Must be knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and in common office software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Education: Bachelorís degree required. BSN/RN preferred.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality; have strong interpersonal and communication skills; and be well organized. Must be able to keep detailed and accurate records and maintain a high degree of contact with clinic personnel, the campus community, and the general public. Must have a strong interest in young adults and the total development of students. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *This position is designated as security sensitive and requires a criminal background check.
