Title: Coordinator, Donor Data & Research
Description: The Coordinator of Donor Data & Research reports to the Director of University Development and is responsible for planning and implementing procedures for the maintenance of accurate records on Midwestern State University donors and alumni for both development and statistical purposes. The Coordinator also prepares timely development reports and conducts research, both systematically and individually, on current and prospective donors to the University.
Examples: Updates the donor and alumni database on a daily basis and ensures that gifts to the University are promptly acknowledged. Also, on request, provides departments and programs with up-to-date data for mailings for fund-raising and alumni relations purposes. Utlizes a wide variety of sources and works closely with the Coordinator of University Gifts, the Director of Alumni Relations and other campus programs and departments to develop procedures that ensure that donor and alumni contact information, such as name changes, addresses, and telephone numbers, are as current and accurate as possible.
Physical Condition:
Experience: Should be experienced in general office practices and procedures and be proficient in the use of the Raiser's Edge computer software program. Previous development or alumni relations experience preferred.
Knowledge: Should have a good knowledge of standard practices and methods regarding the collection of data on individual alumni and donors. Should also be knowledgeable in database maintenance.
Education: Graduation from high school or GED. Bachelor's degree from an accredited, four-year college or university preferred.
Additional Requirements: The Coordinator must have a working knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation and be able to work independently on difficult and complex assignments. Must also have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel, co-workers, and the public in general. Must be able to type and operate a desktop computer.
