Works directly with grant project director on all activities associated with grant. Involved in facilitating day-to-day grant management including coordination of dates for data collection, analysis and interpretation, and preparation of manuscripts and reports related to project. Work is performed under general supervision of the Dean with latitude for initiative and independent judgment within established policies and procedures.
Plans portions of grant projects; assists with administrative duties; analyzes and recommends solutions to problems; develops and writes narratives for fliers, publications, press releases, and training procedures; compiles survey results; assists in developing evaluation reports; documents and records services provided by the project; performs other duties as assigned.
Experience in managing specialized tasks requiring a high level of organizational skill.
Must have comprehension of descriptive statistics, and effective communication strategies. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, including business English, spelling, punctuation. Knowledge of various software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, Graduation from high school. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage a variety of tasks. Must be well organized. Able to work independently with little supervision. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, grant participants and the public. Some local and/or overnight travel may be required. *Regular reliable attendance is required. *This position is designated as security sensitive and requires a criminal background check
