Drug Convictions

If a student receives any Title IV federal student aid (grants, loans or work-study) and is convicted for the possession or sale of illegal drugs that occurred while receiving federal student aid, Title IV aid may be suspended due to this offense. A student may regain eligibility early by successfully completing an approved drug rehabilitation program. Additional details regarding drug convictions and financial aid eligibility is available at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/eligibility/criminal-convictions. If a student has a conviction(s) for these offenses, he/she should contact the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/contact or call 1-800-433-3243 to determine how the law applies to the student and to seek assistance in determining the period of ineligibility.
