Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • Your financial aid eligibility for Fall 2013 and/or Spring 2014 and/or Summer 2014 will be determined based on the 2013-14 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which is available on-line NOW using your PIN at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.

 

  • You and/or your spouse OR you and/or your parent's 2012 income tax information be will needed to complete the FAFSA. Additionally, you MAY still be required to submit other documentation, such as tax information, verification worksheet, etc.., upon receipt of the 2013-14 FAFSA results.

 

 

  • And, submit the Additional Benefits/Expenses form to advise the MSU Financial Aid Office of any scholarships/benefits you may receive AND/OR child care expenses you may incur in 2013-14 as this information will be taken into account at the time we are processing your financial aid award(s); adjustments WILL BE MADE to your award(s), if necessary, if the Financial Aid Office is made aware of any scholarship(s) or additional benefits you will receive AFTER your award(s) are determined and/or disbursed. 

 

  • Also, you can choose to submit the Release of Information form if you want the MSU Financial Aid Office to discuss and/or release written information to your parent(s), organizations(s), etc...regarding your financial aid.

 

  • And, review the current Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) rules so you are aware of how your academic performance plays a major role in retaining your financial aid awards; always be aware of your current financial aid standing!

 

  • If you prefer to have financial aid notifications, such as award notices, sent to you via PAPER delivery, in lieu of electronic means such as emails, phone/text messages, etc, please click here to OPT-OUT of electronic delivery of your financial aid notifications.

 

  • NOTE: Information regarding your Summer 2014 enrollment plans will be collected from you via the Summer 2014 General Application, which you may submit online NOW!
