BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY BSRT (120 semester hours)
The Radiologic Sciences entry-level BSRT Program prepares students for careers as radiographers. Upon completion of all program requirements, students are prepared to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, graduates may be eligible for certification by the state of Texas as Medical Radiologic Technologists. The BS Program in Radiologic Technology is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The mission of the BSRT program is to provide students with both the academic and technical foundations to competently and safely perform imaging procedures, to prepare qualified imaging technologists who will ethically respond to the needs of patients with technical competence and compassion, and to assume a vital professional role as a medical team member.
Note: If you are an out-of-state student (residing in a state other than Texas), recent Federal regulations may prohibit you from taking courses from Midwestern State University. Please contact Suzanne.Bachmann-Hansen@mwsu.edu for verification that your state will allow you to take Texas courses. Failure to follow this procedure could prevent students from continuing to take courses and/or graduating from the Radiologic Sciences programs.
