Welcome to Radiologic Sciences BSRT Program
As of Fall 2013, the Department of Radiologic Sciences at Midwestern State University will no longer offer the Associate of Applied Sciences in Radiologic Sciences. We are moving to a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology for the entry-level student (one who is NOT currently registered by the ARRT or in an approved program).
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY BSRT (120 semester hours)
The Radiologic Sciences entry-level BSRT Program prepares students for careers as radiographers. Upon completion of all program requirements, students are prepared to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, graduates may be eligible for certification by the state of Texas as Medical Radiologic Technologists. The BS Program in Radiologic Technology is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The mission of the BSRT program is to provide students with both the academic and technical foundations to competently and safely perform imaging procedures, to prepare qualified imaging technologists who will ethically respond to the needs of patients with technical competence and compassion, and to assume a vital professional role as a medical team member.
